The Erigmore Estate rents out lodges, many of which accept dogs. The lodges are fantastically appointed and spacious, with each having their own balcony and parking space. Our lodge was also spotlessly clean.
The lodges are in the grounds of Erigmore House, the original, old hunting lodge, which now houses a very good, reasonably priced restaurant and bar that also does a take-away service. Dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant but the take-away service allows you to enjoy the meals back at your lodge with your dog.
The Estate also has a small swimming pool, a pool table and tennis courts.
The site is quite steep but leads down to the river Tay and the town of Dunkeld so there are plentiful opportunities to walk and exercise your dog without going far.
At an hour north of Edinburgh and nearby to the tourist destination of Pitlochry there are plenty places to take your dogs for days out during your stay.
