This walk starts and finishes in the old mining town of St Just. It leads through an old heavily mined area for tin and copper, passing a number of historic mining sites, and then along the coast to the major landmark of Cape Cornwall. It then continues along the coast to St Just via Nanquidno, where the sub-tropical vegetation is at it’s peak with wildflowers and birdsong in spring and with migrant birds feasting on the berries in autumn.
This walk has signs that are easy to follow, it consists of mostly lanes, good tracks and paths; a few gradients, one or two a little steep so important to wear the right footwear.
This walk is particularly good for dogs as it passes a beach and pubs where dogs are welcome. If you like your history and beautiful views this dog walk incorporates it all and doesn’t take too long.
