This is a steady climb to to Warton Crag, then descending to an undulating green lane.
Parking is available in a small quarry car park and over spill in a larger car park further up the hill. The walk itself however starts in the small car park.

Start by following the narrow and rocky track to the rock climbing area. Follow this until you reach a gate leading to the “Rocking Stones”, here you will see views of Carnforth Marsh. Continue on to the wooded path, which leads to the Beacon and eventually the flat summit of Warton Crag. Look for a sign to Crag Foot and follow the path downhill through the trees. After this bear right along the Coach Road to Warton.

At the back of Warton Crag you will reach Occupation Road, turn right along this road until you reach Kate Breakell Gate.
At this point there is another gate on your left that can take you on a circular diversion to see the “Three Brothers”- optional.

After returning to the Occupation Road, follow the path names “Green Lane”. Finally pass Potts Wood and the track will lead back to the starting point.
