Sam is a rescue dog we believe from a puppy mill. He was 8 months old when he came to live with us. He had never been in a house or walked on a lead. He had to wait until he had had his second injection before we could take him out, but he now loves his walks (although rather slowly as he loves to sniff) and holidays. He’s getting well travelled as he has been to the Lake District, Northumberland, Devon, Blackpool, Cornwall as well as day trips to North Wales. He is a very timid dog and will usually freeze if another dog is coming towards us. So we have been taking him to fun dog shows whenever we could to try to get him socialised with other dogs as well as other people. He is quite possessive though and will growl if someone gets too close. He wears a yellow bandana from http://www.yellowdog.com to show other dogs that he needs some space if they see him.
