Please put Sunday June 21st 2015 into your diary and join us on the day for what we hope will be a fantastic gathering of greys, lurchers and other sight hounds!
Each year this event gets better and better and last year it went global for the first time, with hounds walking in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the USA and other countries, all spreading the word about how sighthounds make the best companion animals.
So let’s see if we can top last year’s record of 118 hounds! We will be walking along the north bank of the River Ouse, over Skeldergate bridge, and back along the South Bank of the river, over Millenium Bridge and then back to the Fulford Arms to have a drink, a bit of fun and raise some funds for our chosen charity, which for 2015 will be Hounds First Sighthound Rescue.
Date: Sunday 21st June
Time: 10.30 for an 11 o’clock start
Where: The Fulford Arms, Fulford Road, York http://www.fulfordarms.co.uk/
Duration: 45 mins – 1 hour for the walk, plus an hour or two afterwards for the fund-raising (including Fun Dog Show, raffle and sales of handmade stuff). The pub will be open too, so plenty of opportunity for a beer/lemonade afterwards.
