We are thinking of getting a new car – possibly an estate as Zac is getting a bit older.
Does anyone know of a car with air conditioning in the boot ?
Any recommendations as to dog friendly features would be welcome.

    Hello Zacman
Have a look at this excellent guide from carwow. It gives a great report of the top 10 dog friendly cars and lists the doggy safe and doggy friendly features, including space, low boot, rubber mats and optional dividers. The Skoda estate even offers a special dog safety harness.

    Hope this helps

No car that I am aware of has air conditioning in the boot. However, the Audi A4 estate does have a decent rear passenger air conditioning system which provides slightly better cooling than most other cars.
I would suggest you consider a window tint. This provides a thermal barrier to the sun and can reduce in car temperature by a few degrees. This can usually be done by a specialist tinting company for less than £200, which is not a massive amount to keep your dog a little more comfortable in the summer months.

The ford estate has a generous boot space and the rear window is more squared off than other estates. Not as nice looking as some of the estate cars but very practical for the dog. I would recommend this. My lab has plenty of space.
