London’s best dog friendly places to eat has been researching some of London’s best dog friendly places to eat and we wanted to share our favourites with you.

London has with some of the best eateries in the world. However, you need to know where can you go with your pooch that is dog friendly to be sure of a warm welcome and fabulous food?

As a dog owner it is really encouraging to find more and more places are happy to accept dogs and many now readily provide water and treats (often before I get my drink!).

The dog has been eating out in London. We have compiled a list of the London’s best dog friendly places to eat – in our opinion.

The Green

Just around the corner from Farringdon Station this is a very comfortable, relaxed and friendly pub where you are guaranteed a warm welcome. An excellent range of hearty pub style food is served daily from lunchtime until late. The Sunday Roast is superb and there are lots of interesting and tasty nibbles too. With a wide range of Ales, and my favourite Prosecco, there is something here for everyone and it’s dog friendly.


The Fox and Grapes

9 Camp Road Wimbledon Common London SW19 4UN

dog friendly pub in londonIf you are out and about “Wombleing” with your four legged friend you cannot go far wrong with this comfortable venue on the edge of Wimbledon Common. Perfect for enjoying a stroll around the common and then indulging with a superb meal in friendly surroundings. This gastro pub has a really great menu of British Classics with a twist and you won’t be disappointed. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you and we made a few doggy friends when we visited here.

This Argentinian steak house is a winner for all meat lovers and who loves meat more than your dog. With an excellent choice of steaks and much more, this restaurant near Hampstead Heath provides a great day out you and your dog. What could be better than a log walk on the Heath followed by Sunday Lunch.On the first Sunday of every month, this restaurant hosts “DOGGY SUNDAY” – a dog friendly event with plenty of treats for both you and your dog.


Four Corners Café

12 Lower Marsh, Waterloo, London SE1 7RJ

This is a really fun and quirky café has a fantastic range of specialty coffees and teas from around the world which can be teamed up with delicious breads and pastries for breakfast or sandwiches for lunch. The cakes are exceptionally good too. Situated near Waterloo station there is a “travel” flavour to the décor, so why not make the journey with your pooch. Please note the café closes at 5pm and on Sundays.


The Flask

Lovely traditional Fullers pub in Highgate, with nice outdoor seating at the rear. A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and quite a few dogs enjoying a trip out when we visited. The gastro style food was fabulous and they had pigs ears and treat for sale for the dogs so you really felt comfortable bringing your dog in. A really great dog friendly pub.


Ben’s Canteen, Battersea

Based in Battersea, Ben’s Canteen is a relaxed neighbourhood dog friendly venue that does Dinner, cracking Cocktails and exciting Wines and then come the weekend, specialises in a really indulgent Brunch. The staff are really friendly and very accommodating of pooches with treats and water on hand behind the bar. Check out the website for some fun offers and special events.


White Swan

A delightful dog friendly country pub with a fantastic menu just a stone’s throw from the river Thames. Enjoy a stroll along the river with your pooch and then pop in here to relax and partake in some very tasty grub. There is a lovely outdoor space at the rear for the summer months. Dogs are welcome throughout and you may be greeted by Jake the resident spaniel. The Yorkshire puddings are particularly good.
