Peanut butter dog biscuit recipe

Treat your pooch with these lovely peanut butter dog biscuits. The recipe is simple to follow, so you can’t go wrong.

250 g (9 oz) wholemeal flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

275 g (10 oz) natural unsalted peanut butter

225 ml (8 fl oz) semi-skimmed milk

How to make

Then the messy part – mix up all the ingredients into a dough and roll out to about 1 cm thick. It helps if you chill dough in the fridge for 30 minutes prior to rolling it out.

Cut or shape the dough and lay on a greased baking tray. Your dog really won’t mind what shape they are, but there may be some personal presentation pride at stake here 🙂

Use the scraps to make some little balls that you can use as training treats or rewards.

Bake at 190 degrees (gas mark 5) for about 20 mins and allow to cool.

You may be reluctant to taste test these, but actually they are not bad. They are quite crunchy so watch out if you have false teeth 🙂

If you really want to make an impression, you can buy some really cool doggy shapes cutters. So be insPAWed

  1. These are really good. A bit sticky to make (as warned). I did taste them and thought they were OK, but Zac loved them. He sat and watched me make them and then patiently gaurded them until they were cool enough to try.
